This business produces highly durable paints and coatings for industrial uses. But their newly developed product line meant that customers needed specific training on mixing, application and clean-up. The traditional methods of training weren't working.
That's where we stepped in. Digital Mentor Group designed a specific workshop curriculum for the sales and service staff. The workshop was divided into two parts: a classroom component, using media and presentations, and a 'hands on' portion that was conducted in the client's own paint booth. The company's staff then travelled to each location to deliver skills training to their customers' employees in a workshop environment. Participants had the opportunity to try out the new products and practice working with them in their own locations.
The company had fewer follow-up service calls and queries from customers who went through the training and customers reduced issues they had with poor quality preparation, application and clean-up after painting.
